Hello there, I’m Ahamed!

I’m a data analyst from Australia. I like sharing interesting data stories, practical tips, and real-life lessons from my experiences. In my 4-year journey so far, I’ve had the pleasure of working across Technology, Finance, Education, Law, and the Marketing industry—all of which rely on data. I’m excited for what’s to come!

My Journey So Far

I graduated from university with a degree in Information Systems. My first taste of the data world came with a part-time job at a robotics company, where I analyzed data from robot vacuum cleaners. Yes, robot vacuum cleaners! But hey, it was during uni, and I needed to make some money.

Next, I found myself at the heart of a major bank, where I traded in robot data for financial transactions. As a data analyst, I took on the role of a digital detective, sifting through customer and transaction information to spot anything out of the ordinary. My job was to help protect people from financial crime, using data analytics and my trusty tableau skills. One of my biggest achievements was shutting down an entire gambling syndicate. It was a high-stakes game, and I loved every moment of it. Corporate drama… maybe not so much.

I’m currently working at a marketing company, where we develop advanced big data tools focused on keyword research and website analysis. Our work involves analyzing and optimizing strategies to compete in rankings and drive traffic, going head-to-head with some of the largest corporations in Australia.
